Nigeria has started supplying other African countries including Uganda and Cameroon with science laboratory equipment according to the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
The Executive Vice Chairman of the agency, Professor Mohammad Sani Haruna, told State House reporters in Abuja after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday that the manufacturing of the equipment has been generating good revenue for Nigeria.
Haruna was in the Villa to brief Buhari on the activities and finances of NASENI. He said Uganda is the latest country to order the equipment for secondary schools and tertiary institutions being produced by his organisation, a purpose built intervention agency whose mandate include nurturing an appropriate dynamic Science and Engineering Infrastructure base for achieving home initiated and sustained industrialisation for Nigeria.
