JAMB registers 1.1 million university admission seekers for 2023 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says over 1.16 million tertiary institutions admission seekers have so far registered to sit for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME).

JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede made this known on Saturday, during a monitoring tour of some Computer based test centres, CBT, in Abuja.

Oloyede said the Board will not extend the deadline for the 2023 Unified UTME registration, while and cautioned CBT centres against extortion of candidates.

JAMB fixed the sale of the 2023 UTME forms to begin on Saturday,
January 14, 2023, to Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Oloyede said registration is going on well except for some schools that are over charging.

He called on candidates to report cases of extortion, saying that there is a code for candidates to reach JAMB when they come across any case of extortion, while promising a reward for such act.
