CSOs, others storm LAHA, seek removal of EFCC Boss

A coalition of civil society groups in furtherance to their agitations for the removal of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, Tuesday stormed the Lagos State House of Assembly to protest his continuous disobedience of court orders.

The angry protesters carrying placards with different inscriptions marched through the streets of Ikeja and converged on the state house of assembly at Alausa.

The CSOs explained that they had uncovered plans by Bawa to raise supposed CSOs to drum up support for him.
They wondered why Bawa who they accused of disobeying court orders is claiming that he was not given fair hearing before the contempt ruling.

Apart from disobeying court orders, the CSOs also accused Bawa of politicising the EFCC and submitted a petition in that regard to be forwarded to the National Assembly through the speaker of the Lagos State State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa.
