The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that the driver of late Ogun monarch Femi Egbeoluwa and his wife who were killed at their Ikeja residence in Lagos last week by unidentified gunmen has submitted himself to police authority at the state Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba with a view to assisting in investigation to identify those involved in the murder of the couple.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin who confirmed this to AIT in a telephone conversation, on Saturday , however disclosed that the said driver has not been linked to the murder incident, since investigation is still ongoing.
The house of the deceased located at Allen Avenue, Ikeja has since been sealed by the police , pending conclusion of investigations .
The monarch who hails from Ogun State was one time permanent secretary in the Bureau of Transportation in Ogun state, during the administration of former governor Gbenga Daniel .
The late monarch and his wife were found dead at their residence after been shot and killed by unidentified gunmen.
The house help to the deceased according to reports is currently undergoing treatment.
