The National Working Committee has appointed the Deputy National Chairman North Amb. Umar Damagun as acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
This NWC took the decision as part of the outcome of its emergency meeting in Abuja after the party’s Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu, announced that je will be stepping aside from office.
A Makurdi High Court on Monday granted an ex-parte application seeking an interim injunction to restrain Mr Ayu from parading himself as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
