The Nigerian Communications Commission, (NCC),has denied allegations of telephone tracking and leakage of audio conversation between individuals,groups or organisations.
The Commission, in a statement on Tuesday, said it has become necessary to clarify its position to dispel insinuations that it might be responsible for the leakage of a purported audio involving the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Bishop oyedepo of the Living Faith Church.
NCC noted that the provisions of the Communications Act forbids it from tracking or leaking telephone conversations of anyone.
News of a purported leaked audio conversation went viral over the weekend which many have questioned as having grave impact on privacy of citizens using communication channels.
