Afrobeat Singer Songwriter Seun Kuti has pledged commitment to cooperate with the police in its investigation of assault against him.
Seun took to his Instagram @ bigbirdkuti to share the information shortly after IGP Alkali Baba ordered the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Idowu Owohunwa to arrest him and investigate the incident.
The afrobeat singer on his Instagram Story wrote:
“I welcome the investigation and will give my full cooperation! I also pray to the IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted.”
The singer Saturday May 13th 2023 was captured in a video which has since gone viral assaulting a police officer in uniform; an act the IGP described as contempt and disdain for symbols of authority; noting that such act will not be tolerated.
