The Police in Zamfara State have rescued ten kidnap victims along the Gusami Forest in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of the state.
A Statement by the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bunu, through the command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Yazid Abubakar, said tactical operatives on a search and rescue operation along Gusami Forest, under Birnin Magaji LGA, acted on intelligence reports which led to the rescue of the ten victims.
He said the ten people were kidnapped from Gidan Gobirawa Village in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of state.
The victims said they had been in captivity since 7th May.
The rescued victims were medically checked, debriefed and handed over to their families.
