FG, TUC meet over removal of fuel subsidy

Representatives of the Federal Government and the Trade Union Organisation are currently meeting behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting which began at 05:04pm is coming days after a similar parley between the FG, TUC and the Nigerian Labour Congress ended in a deadlock.

The federal government’s team is being led by the newly appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume. Others are the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole; and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari.

The Trade Union Congress team is led by Festus Osifo, the TUC President.
