Lagos Police hunt traditional ruler for alleged murder

A man was beaten and shot dead on sunday at the Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos by some men suspected to be mobile policemen who served as escorts to a certain traditional ruler identified as Omotola Adeboyejo over a land dispute.

 

 

The daughter of the deceased identified as Linda Rita, who cried out via social media is demanding justice for the death of her father which occured around 10am.

 

She added that Adeboyejo ordered one of his escorts to shoot her father on the head after hitting him with a charm.

 

In reaction, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin said officers of the command on arrival at the scene of the incident could not see the traditional ruler and his family as they were alleged to have fled their home.

 

Hundeyin who disclosed that investigation had commenced into the matter assured that the suspects will be apprehended
