The Nigeria Football Federation NFF has given Jose Peseiro a three-day ultimatum to accept pay cut in a new contract or bid farewell to the role of Super Eagles head coach.
Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Rabiu Inuwa told sports journalists that the NFF will allow him to continue if he accepts a reduction in his 70,000 dollars monthly salary and other conditions of service.
If he turns down the proposal, the glass house will consider appointing another coach to oversee the game against Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo, then start to search for a new substantive coach that the NFF can afford to pay his salary
Nigeria is scheduled to face Sao Tome and Principe in AFCON 2023 Qualifier fixture on September 10 and the probable coaches that are lined up to step into the Portuguese tactician shoes if agreement is not reached are
