The Chairman Senate Committee on Works representing Imo North, Senator Ndubueze Patrick, has condemned the killing of security operatives by hoodlums earlier today in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Okigwe zone in Imo State.
A statement signed by the Senator’s Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, David Nwokorie , described the development as ugly, heinous, and disturbing.
The lawmaker commiserated with the families of the fallen security personnel, the Imo State Government, and everyone affected by the dastardly act.
The Senator decried the recurring and unpleasant attacks on lives and property in Imo State.
Ndubueze assured the people of Okigwe that actions are ongoing to ensure that those responsible for the acts are brought to book.
He also pleaded with residents of the affected communities to let the law take its full course and also called on security agencies to act with restraint and not engage in reprisals.
