The Association of Senior Staff of Banks, insurance and financial institutions, ASSBIFI has directed its members to comply with the October 3 nationwide strike by executives of the Nigeria Labour congress and the trade Union Congress.

Governnent fo meet the demands of labaur, merntbers are advised to Join the strike and take
necessary precaution to ensure their safety and that of the properties of the
organisation in the likelihod of hoodlums and miscreants taking advantage of the
situation to foment trouble or vandalize bUsiness prernises.
ASSBIFI an affiliate of TUC has its members in all commercial banks, Nigerian deposit insurance commission, Securities and exchange commission, Agricultural and and General insurances agencies as well as the central Bank of Nigeria among others.
