Arsenal vs Manchester City: Arteta reaches incredible milestone after breaking Cityzens jinx

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta led his side to break a 12-game jinx against Manchester City and achieved a superb personal milestone with the win.

Arsenal finally beat Manchester City

Prior to beating Manchester City, the Spanish gaffer had beaten every team he had managed against at least once in the Premier League, except the Cityzens.

Arteta reaches Premier League milestone

Arteta had lost all seven games against Manchester City in the Premier League, making the Cityzens the only team that he had faced in the league since joining Arsenal in 2020 that he had not recorded at least one victory against.

The 1-0 victory means that Arteta has now completed his set, beating every team he has faced at least once.

The Arsenal manager can now look forward to the possibility of conquering the league at the end of the season, claiming a first league title for the Gunners since 2004 under Arsene Wenger.
