Fintiri heads PDP campaign council for Edo guber

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a 152-member national campaign council for the Edo governorship elections scheduled for 16 September.

The council is chaired by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State.

This is contained in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in on Wednesday.

Ologunagba said the council will be inaugurated on 11 June.

He said the National Working Committee is committed to ensuring victory for the party..

Other members of the campaign council are Governors Kefas Agbu of Taraba and Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta as deputy chairmen, and former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Others are former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Namadi Sambo, other governors on the platform of the PDP, the party’s Board of Trustees chairman, Sen. Adolphus Wabara, and the PDP acting national chairman, Umar Damagun, among others.
