Journalists, protesters scampered for safety as security operatives shoot sporadically causing chaos and panic at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The operatives, suspected to be from the Department of State Services (DSS) fired at protesters who were reconvening after an initial dispersal.
As protesters ran for cover, some security operatives chased them into nearby bushes.
Meanwhile, other masked operatives targeted journalists who were reporting from a separate location.
Bullets pierced a car conveying journalists from Premium Times, The Cable, Peoples Gazette, and The PUNCH at three different locations.
