Tinubu mourns 40 lives lost in Kaduna auto-crash

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday expressed sadness over the death of 40 members Tijjaniyya Movement in Nigeria killed in an auto crash.

The devastating auto crash in Kaduna State on Sunday claimed the lives of 40 members of the Tiljaniyya Movement in Nigeria, with scores more injured. 

The victims were en route to a Maulud Nabiy celebratory event in Saminaka, Kaduna State, when their bus collided with a truck at Lere town.

President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, as well as to the governments of Kaduna and Plateau states. He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.

In response to this tragic incident, President Tinubu has directed the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC) to enhance highway monitoring and reduce road accidents nationwide. This move aims to minimize the risk of such accidents occurring in the future.

 

This tragic incident highlights the need for continued efforts to ensure road safety in Nigeria.
