Akin Lewis lead Africa Magic’s new drama series ‘Omera’
Africa Magic is gearing up to captivate audiences once again with its latest drama series, Omera, featuring veteran actor Akin Lewis and rising star Desmond Bryce. The new series, which is set to premiere on September 30, 2024, promises a gripping narrative filled with emotional depth, suspense, and cultural richness. Set against the vibrant cultural backdrop of an Igala community, Omera tells the story of a young man who, in search of a better life, makes the life-altering decision to “japa”—a Nigerian slang term for emigrating in pursuit of better opportunities. However, his dreams quickly crumble, forcing him to return to his homeland in failure and disappointment. As fate would have it, he inherits his uncle’s NGO, setting him on an unexpected path of power, ambition, and internal conflict. What begins as a journey of shattered dreams turns into a powerful narrative of hope, betrayal, and ultimate redemption.
