The Athletics Integrity Unit AIU has provisionally suspended Nigeria’s Divine Oduduru for potential violation of two anti-doping rules.

The AIU is seeking a six-year ban on the sprinter for possession and use or attempted use of multiple prohibited substances.

The anti-doping violations is as a result of the AIU investigations, based on information relating to criminal charges against American naturopathic therapist Eric Lira last January.

Lira is suspected to have supplied performance enhancing drugs to athletes including banned Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare who was a teammate to Oduduru prior to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The AIU says the process of investigations is still ongoing.
