The deadline for interested parties to submit new bids to buy Manchester United has been extended having originally been set for 2100GMT on Mar. 23.

BBC Sport reported that several other proposed investments had submitted their bids by the original deadline.

It is not clear when the new deadline is for Ratcliffe and Jassim to submit their bids.

Manchester United’s current U.S. owners, the Glazer family are seeking around £6 billion ($7.3 billion) having bought the club for £790 million ($968.30 million) in 2005 as part of a highly leveraged deal.

There are thought to be multiple other interested parties with media reports suggesting the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk was also considering a bid.

United, managed by Erik ten Hag, are third in the league on 50 points after 26 games, 19 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
