Enugu Governor-elect, Peter Mbah names 63-member transition committee ahead of May 29 inauguration

The Enugu State Governor-elect, Peter Mbah, has named a 63-member Transition Committee ahead of the May 29, 2023 inauguration of his administration.

The list made up of internationally reorganised technocrats, entrepreneurs, the academia and top politicians is to be chaired by a renowned investment banker and Group Managing Director, Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited, Ike Chioke.

The former Director General of Nigeria’s Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr. Joe Abah; the Managing Director of United Kingdom-Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility, UK-NNIAF, Professor Chidi Onyia; and Nigeria’s former Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, are among others on the list of the Transition Committee.

A statement by the Head of the Peter Mbah Media Office, Dan Nwomeh, in Enugu, Monday, noted that the Transition Committee is to streamline the state’s development plan in line with what he refers to as the Governor-elect’s “Social Charter” with the people.

The members of the Transition Committee are to be inaugurated and commence work on April 27, 2023 and cease operations on May 29, 2023 according to the statement.
