An accident has occurred on the Lokoja-Abuja express way from the Kotonkarfe axis, Koton Karfe Local Governemnt Area of Kogi State.
Corps Commander the Federal Road Safety Corps, Stephen Dawlung who confirmed the incident to our correspenodant in Lokoja via telephon said no life was lost.
The FRSC boss however said two passengers from the bus and truck which had head on collision were seriously injured and currently being attended to in the hospital.
He balmed over spending as responsible for the accident on the bad spot of the road between the bus and a truck loaded with fresh tomatoes heading to the east.
According to Stephen, his men have cleared off the traffic which built up on the corridor early this morning but noted that the fire resulting from the accident is still on.
The accident happened in front of the Koton karfe Local Government Secretariat of Kogi state at about 7 this sunday morning.
The Corps commander appealed to users of the road to exercise caution and drive carefully and observe caution signs close to construction sites and places with noticeable bad roads.
