Presesident Muhammadu Buhari on Friday conducted the President- elect, Bola Tinubu on a familiarisation tour of the presidential villa, Abuja.
The visist which comes barely 72 hours before the transition of power to Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president saw president Buhari make a rare stop at the press gallery.
Buhari and Tinubu arrived at the Press Gallery around 1:18pm shortly after observing the Jummah prayers at the Aso Villa Mosque.
State Chief of Protocol, Lawal Kazaure told Tinubu as both men emerged from the waiting room of the Aso Chambers that:”This is the Gallery where you will be meeting members of the press”.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had taken the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, on a similar tour of the VP Wing of the State House on Thursday.
