One killed, another wounded as troops repelled ISWAP attack in Borno

One Civilian Killed and another injured as troops of Operation Hadin Kai repelled attacks by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Gajiganna, the northern part of Borno State

 

It was gathered that the ISWAP fighters in four hilux trucks attacked the town with heavy weapons at about 9: 30 pm on Tuesday in an attempt to wreck havoc.

 

Report by Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad, says the troops swiftly engaged them in a gun battle which lasted for about one hour before they retreated toward the axis of Damakulli.

 

One civilian was hit by stray bullet and died while another teenage girl was touched by bullet. She was transferred to the hospital in Maiduguri for treatment, while funeral prayers was held at about 9am for the deceased.
