A Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos on Wednesday delivered an order remanding musician and record label boss, Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley and his associate Samson Balogun also known as Sam Larry, in police custody for 21 days over the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad.
The Lagos State Police Command requested that Naira Marley and Larry be held in custody for 30 days while the investigation continues. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun reduced the time frame to just 21 days.
The Lagos State Police Command arrested Sam Larry last Thursday while Naira Marley was taken into custody on Tuesday as part of the investigation to unravel the sudden death of Mohabad who died on Tuesday September 12, 2023 aged 27.
Mohbad fell out with Naira Marley and his record label, Marlian Music, in 2022. Several internet videos by the late musician alleged bullying by Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry before his death three weeks ago.
