President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday inaugurated the Lagos Rice Mill, Imota.
The President, who was accompanied by the Chief Host and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Governors Dapo Abiodun and Biodun Oyebanji of Ogun and Ekiti States among other dignitaries, inaugurated the mill which is the larhest in Africa and the 4th larhest in the world. The mill is also projected to provide about two hundred and fifty thousand (250,000) direct jobs.
The unveiling ceremony is part of the activities of the president’s two-days official visit to Lagos. He had earlier commissioned the Lekki Deep Seaport at the Free Trade Zone on arrival in the state on Monday afternoon. Buhari will also inaugurate the first phase of the Lagos metro line – the BlueRail Line on the second day of the visit.
