A total number of 53 patients involved in the train/bus accident that occurred in Lagos last Thursday have been discharged from various health facilities across the state.
A statement from the state’s Ministry of Health on Sunday said thirty nine patients were discharged from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja, two from the General Hospital Odan-Lagos and two from the Gbagada General Hospital.
A National Youth Corps member, Oreoluwa Aina who was among the six victims confirmed dead in the accident has been buried at Atan cemetery in Yaba. She was buried on Saturday 11th 2023.
Aina was serving in the Curriculum department of the Ministry of Education at the Lagos State Secretariat until her death.
One hundred and two passenger have been identified so far who were involved in the accident.
