Two people have been reported dead in Ibadan, Oyo State when an exploring rocked the ancient city on Tuesday evening.
The actual cause of the explosion which occurred at Bodija area of the city was yet to be determined as at the time of this report.
But the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has implored citizens to remain calm and be rest assured that their interests are being taken care of following the incident.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and orientation, Dotun Oyelade, said the state government has taken over and is in full control of the unfortunate occurrence.
The statement also disclosed that all security service cheifs including para military chiefs and fire operatives have been deployed by the Governor to address the spillover from the explosion.
