In a decisive move to combat illegal oil refining activities, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced that the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe successfully destroyed six illegal oil refining sites in Opu Arugbana, Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information of NAF, released a statement on Tuesday in Abuja detailing the successful operation.
The illegal refining sites were identified clustered within a radius of about 80 meters at a location approximately 6 nautical miles south of Opu Arugbana.
