The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti for allegedly assaluting a police officer. The Afrobeat singer reported to the police authorities on Monday morning in Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that Seun was arrested after he submitted himself to the police and is currently in their custody and that investigation has commenced into the matter.
Network8tvnews gathered that after the initial arrest procedures at the office of the state commissioner of police in Ikeja, the matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba where further investigations are to be carried out.
Kuti earlier said via his Instagram page that he would give his full cooperation into the investigation urging the police to indict whoever is wrong.
