Renowned human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has joined the call for the resignation of ailing Governor Rotimi Akereodolu of ondo state.
Sowore who was in Akure,Ondo state capital on Saturday for a town hall meeting said the gathering was necessary to rescue the state from the few individuals siphoning the resources of the state.
He revealed that Akeredolu who had been sick was unable to write or sign any documents, challenging the House of Assembly to show the world the letter purportedly written by the governor for the medical leave.
The right activist who demand the resignation of the ailing Governor, also frowned at how Akereodolu clinged to power despite his health challenges while he continued to receive security votes outside the state.
Sowore called on the Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa to be above board and ensure the people of the State feel the impact of governance in the next few months.
