NNPP accuses Ganduje, DSS of plans to undermine governorship election

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has accused the Department of State Service (DSS), of sinister moves with the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje to subvert the governorship and state assembly elections coming up on Saturday.

 

A chieftain of NNPP, Abdullahi Bappa Bichi who spoke to journalists on Wednesday in Kano alleged that the state Director of DSS Mohammed Alhassan is the one spearheading the move to create the chaos.

 

According to Bichi, the NNPP has written to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Director General of DSS, all heads of security agencies and Service Chiefs, drawing attention to the plan yet, Alhassan is still serving in the state.

 

Bichi declared that the NNPP will embark on a peaceful protest against the continued stay in office of the state director of DSS who Bichi said ought to have retired from service over a year ago.

 

Bichi called on all party members to be part of the protest billed for Thursday morning.

 

Bichi used the media briefing to notify the police of the planned march and called for adequate security cover.
