The Akwa Ibom State Governor-elect, Umo Eno, Sunday evening led party faithful to the Hilltop Mansion, Government House in Uyo to visit Governor Udom Emmanuel after his declaration as winner of the state’s governorship election.
Receiving Mr Eno, Governor Emmanuel thanked God for blessing the state with good leaders and expressed gratitude to the people of the state for electing Umo Eno, stressing that election result is the best answer to insults from the opposition. He described Eno as a man with a large heart and one that will be willing to work with different interest groups no matter their political affiliations to move the state forward.
Mr Umo Eno, who is famous for his promised to declare a happy hour in the state if elected, said the “we’ll like to say to the Akwa Ibom people (that) the happy hour has begun”, as the crowd cheered him on.
He promised to work hard to produce many more happy moments for the people of the state.
