Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has urged the political parties and their candidates who lost at the Presidential Election Petition Court not to challenge the judgement which validated the electoral victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in court.

Governor Bello who hailed Wednesday’s Judgement delivered by a panel of five Judges led by Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, said the truth about the conduct of the 2023 presidential election has been exposed, noting that there’s no reason for any appeal at the Supreme court.

Speaking to State House correspondents after a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential villa, Abuja on Thursday, Bello called on Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and other petitioners whose cases were struck out by the court to prevail on their supporters and loyalists to eschew violence and keep the peace.

He appealed to those who feel aggrieved by the judgement to join hands with president Bola Tinubu to drive development for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Bello also reacted to the judgement of the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal which invalidated the electoral victory of two Senators on the platform of the ruling All progressives Congress, APC, saying the affected persons will follow due process to reclaim their mandates.

The governor said there is no cause for alarm as necessary steps are being taken to prevent the outbreak of violence in his state.

The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday nullified the elections of Senators Jibrin Isah-Echocho of Kogi East Senatorial District and that of his counterpart from the Kogi Central, Sadiku Ehere.
