Balarabe Lawal, the Kaduna State ministerial nominee by President Bola Tinubu, collapsed on Wednesday during his screening by the Senate.
Lawal, who was the second nominee to be screened for the day, slumped shortly after his introductory remarks and was about taking questions from the Senators.
The development caused a momentary confusion in the chamber as some Senators quickly rushed to him to try and revive him.
As a result of the incident, the Senate went into a brief closed-door session while the Senators made efforts to revive the Kaduna-born nominee.
