Atiku Abubakar tenders evidence of Tinubu’s Alleged forgery to Supreme Court

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has submitted the evidence of President Bola Tinubu’s alleged forgery to the Supreme Court where he seeks to overturn the president’s victory in the February 25, 2023 election.

The submission is coming after Abubakar had approached the the apex court on October 10, 2023 seeking leave to “receive fresh and/or additional evidence by way of deposition on oath from the Chicago State University for use in this appeal to wit; the certified discovery deposition made by Caleb Westberg on behalf of Chicago State University on October 3, disclaiming the certificate presented by the 2nd respondent, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Following the Supreme Court decision on September 6, dismissing the petition of Abubakar, challenging the February, 25, elections, the PDP candidate had approached a U.S. federal court to subpoena CSU, and prove that the diploma President Tinubu tendered to INEC, was a forgery.

The CSU registrar, Mr Westberg, swore under oath that the President did, in fact,  attend and graduate from CSU, but that the university is unable to vouch for the authenticity of the diploma that was submitted to INEC because they did not issue it.

On September 6, the Presidential Election Petition Court dismissed the petition filed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the PDP, challenging President Tinubu’s emergence in the February 2023 election in Nigeria, asserting they were too weak to unseat the president.
