President Tinubu chairs 3rd FEC meeting, sets new schedule

President Bola Tinubu has chaired the third Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.

The meeting commenced promptly at 1:06 p.m., indicating the administration’s commitment to punctuality and efficiency.

Almost all members of the cabinet were in attendance, showcasing the seriousness with which the government addresses national matters.

Notable attendees included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan; the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; and National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

However, it was noted that Vice President Kashim Shettima was not present at the meeting, although Pulse reports that he is schedulled to deliver a keynote speech at the World Food Prize Foundation’s Norman Borlaug International Dialogue in the USA.

This development follows an announcement made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, last week.

He clarified that the Council meetings would now be scheduled for Mondays, deviating from the previous practice of holding them on Wednesdays.

Additionally, he stated that the meetings would no longer be convened on a weekly basis but would be held as needed, addressing pertinent matters as they arise.
