“Declare your assets”, EFCC's Chairman orders staff of the commission

As moves towards accountability and internal cleansing, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede has directed Staff of the Commission to immediately declare their assets in line with civil service Regulations and Procedures.

 

 

Olukoyede gave the directive on tuesday at the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission in Abuja while addressing senior staff of the EFCC.

 

 

 

The EFCC’s Chairman explained that fighting corruption requires those at the vanguard to be above board as he stressed that even if the Staff had declared their assets in the past, there is need for all of them to do so again and investigations carried out on all that were declared.

 

 

 

Olukoyede asked Staff of the Commission to pay more premium attention to the basis of fighting economic and financial crimes as such efforts would contribute to the growth of the economy, create the right environment for enhanced investment, strengthen Nigeria’s productive base and redeem her image.

 

 

 

 

The EFCC’s Chairman charged staff of the Commission to be professional, thorough in their engagements, non-partisan as he assured them that adherence to the rule of law would be an article of faith and defining principle of work.
