Tinubu lands in Riyadh for historic Saudi-Africa summit

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday to partake in the inaugural Saudi-Africa Summit set for Friday, November 10.

 

The summit aims to fortify relationships between African nations and Saudi Arabia, fostering dialogue, boosting trade and investment opportunities, and advancing cooperation on multiple fronts.

 

Accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising key cabinet members, the Nigerian President is poised to engage in crucial discussions during the summit.

 

Notable members of the delegation include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman; Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun; Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu; and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu.

 

In addition to his cabinet members, President Tinubu is joined by other prominent figures including the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Amb Ahmed Rufai Abubakar; and the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Mallam Jalal Arabi.
