The All Progressives Congress (APC) is calling for the release of party leaders detained by security forces in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. Kingsley Fanwo, the Campaign spokesperson for the party’s governorship candidate, expressed concerns about recent security operations in Kogi East, particularly in Dekina LGA, where he alleged APC chieftains were arrested without justifiable cause. Fanwo said the party is committed to peaceful elections and called for responsible conduct by law enforcement agencies. He stated that the arrested leaders were innocent and urged security agencies to release them unconditionally. Fanwo also highlighted the tragic murder of an APC member in Koton Karfe and called on citizens to vote against division and violence on November 11.
