President Tinubu Reassures Nigerians of fairness and unity during Christmas holiday

In the spirit of the Christmas holiday, President Bola Tinubu has conveyed his unwavering commitment to fairness, national unity, and the well-being of all Nigerians. Speaking at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Surulere, Lagos, on Friday, the President emphasized that his administration’s economic reforms aim to establish a secure foundation for current and future generations.

The President, who participated in Jumaat prayers marking the centennial anniversary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), commended the society for its service to humanity, contributions to Islam, and efforts in uplifting the less privileged. He urged members to remain dedicated to advancing education, moral values, and social development within the Muslim community.

Expressing gratitude for the support received during elections, President Tinubu acknowledged the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society’s role as a motivating force for his government to stay focused on delivering good governance. “I thank the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for its support during the elections. I do not take it for granted; rather, the support serves as a stimulus for us in government to remain focused,” he stated.

Reaffirming his commitment to citizens’ welfare, especially during the festive season, the President highlighted recent initiatives, including a 50 percent reduction in inter-state land transportation fares and the payment of N-Power beneficiaries’ backlog of allowances. These measures, along with others, aim to ease the burden on Nigerians during the holiday season, with additional relief anticipated in the coming year.

“We are committed to enthroning a better society for our citizens irrespective of ethnic, religious, or geographical differences. The various policies already in place are expected to bring great succor to our people. We know their pains, and we are addressing them holistically,” President Tinubu assured.

Reflecting on the accomplishments of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, which marks its 100th year, the President noted that their longevity is a testament to the success achievable through focused planning in society.

As President Tinubu enjoys a brief Christmas holiday in Lagos, his reassurances underscore the importance of unity, fairness, and comprehensive policies to build a better Nigeria. The President’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by Nigerians and planning for a brighter future remains steadfast.
