CLO urges Gov Soludo for pardon and reinstatement of suspended traditional ruler

In a bid to restore peace and honor in Aniocha, the Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) implores Governor Chukwuma Soludo to reconsider the suspension of Igwe Damian Ezeani, Traditional Ruler of Neni community. The call comes after the traditional ruler faced disciplinary action for granting chieftaincy titles without proper clearance.

Vincent Ezekwueme, Chairman of CLO in Anambra, emphasized the need for mercy over strict justice, urging Gov. Soludo to reinstate Igwe Damian Ezeani. Ezekwueme expressed concern about potential political undertones and emphasized the importance of preserving respect for traditional rulers and institutions.

“We appeal to all Anambra political gladiators, supporters, and citizens to work collectively for the restoration of peace, security, and unity,” stated Ezekwueme. He called for an end to character assassination, name-calling, and unfounded accusations, urging political leaders to rein in overzealous supporters for the greater good of the state.

Ezekwueme emphasized the wisdom of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, encouraging a focus on friendship over enmity and positive thinking about others. The CLO urged individuals and groups in the state to contribute to the mission of rescuing the state, fostering peace, and promoting socioeconomic development and security.
