Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 30,960 amid Israeli mass casualty attacks

The death toll of Palestinians from the Israeli mass casualty attacks in the Gaza Strip has risen to 30,960, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said on Saturday.

During the past 24 hours, the Israeli army killed 82 Palestinians and wounded about 122 others, the ministry said in a press statement.

According to a report published by the Palestinian News Agency on Saturday, the Israeli army intensively bombed multiple areas in the northern and southern Gaza Strip on Friday evening, killing at least 38 people.

The report said that an Israeli air strike killed at least nine people on a residence in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday evening.

In the early morning of Saturday, the Israeli army launched air strikes on multiple residences in Gaza City, killing at least six people.

The Israeli army also intensively bombed multiple areas in the southern Gaza Strip cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah on the same day, killing at least 23 people.

In the city of Rafah, the Israeli army air raided a 12-story residential building, causing serious damage to the residential building. Israel claims the building contains military assets of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said Saturday that it successfully intercepted two Israeli aircraft carrying out intelligence missions in Gaza City, exchanged fire with the Israeli army in many places, and continued to attack the Israeli army with rockets.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, stated on the same day that its armed personnel bombed Israeli soldiers and vehicles with rockets and mortars.

The Palestinian Prisoners Association issued a statement on Saturday saying that the Israeli army arrested 15 Palestinians in the West Bank in the past two days, including those who had been previously detained by the Israeli army.
