The Peoples Democratic Party on Monday took its campaigns for the 2023 elections to Lagos.
The party’s presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, led the campaign which was held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan.
Atiku called on Lagosians to ignore the deceit by the ruling All Progressives Congress which he said has not done enough to uplift the socio-economic status of the people. He also explained how he intends to raise the ten billion Naira which he plans to set aside for the upliftment of young Nigerians if elected president. He said the money will come from the privatisation of the country’s refineries that have not worked for years despite huge amount of money being spent on them for maintenance.
He called on the people to vote for him come February 2023 as the next president of Nigeria and also vote the party’s candidate, Olajide Adediran as the next governor of the state.
