Kwara State monarch, Oba Mufutau Muhammed Oloyede Gbadamosi, the Olofa of Offa, has provided assurance to Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu will exceed expectations in his performance.
Speaking at the Annual Odun Olodumare celebrations organised by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, in Iwo, Osun State, Oba Gbadamosi stressed the need for Nigerians to refrain from derogatory comments and criticisms of the President. Instead, he urged citizens to believe in the Tinubu administration and offer prayers for its success.
Cautioning against the negative consequences of abruptly phasing out fuel subsidy, the monarch blamed previous administrations for not implementing such measures earlier. He expressed optimism that had the subsidy been gradually removed, the current economic challenges would have been alleviated.
The Olofa of Offa encouraged citizens to maintain faith in Tinubu’s ability to enhance the nation’s economy, calling for collective prayers rather than engaging in verbal abuse.
In his remarks on the annual celebrations, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi emphasised the significance of praising God, describing the occasion as a special day to celebrate the divine. As part of the event, grants were awarded to 50 residents, reflecting a commitment to community support and the acknowledgment of God’s influence on the kingship stool in Yoruba land.
