Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State conveyed heartfelt gratitude to his supporters after securing victory in the Imo governorship election, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate claimed victory by winning all 27 local government areas in the South-East state, according to INEC’s announcement on Sunday.
In reflection, Governor Uzodimma emphasized the significance of his re-election, stating, “This victory is very dear to me because it is vindication that the same God who did it before will do it again.”
Addressing the people of Imo State, Uzodimma acknowledged their unwavering support, expressing humility and honor in response to their overwhelming backing. He stated, “My good people of Imo State, I am humbled and honored by your overwhelming support in yesterday’s election. Your trust in me to continue leading our dear State is both inspiring and deeply appreciated.”
Committing to fulfilling the promises made during his campaign, the Governor affirmed that the victory was a collective achievement. He recounted the challenges faced during the 2019 election, asserting, “This victory shows that I actually won the Imo governorship election back in 2019 but was cheated until the Supreme Court came to the rescue.”
Governor Uzodimma concluded by reiterating his dedication to serving the people of Imo State and working towards the state’s progress, expressing optimism about the future.
