The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the PDP candidate, Peter Mbah, as winner of the Enugu State governorship election conducted on Saturday.
Announcing the result at the INEC collation centre in Enugu, the election’s Returning Officer, Professor Nduebibisi Iwe, said Mbah scored a total of 160,895 to defeat his closest opponent, Chijioke Edoega of Labour Party who scored a total of 157, 552 votes.
The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) came third scoring a total of 17, 983 votes, while the All Progressive Congress (APC)secured 14, 575 votes.
