A pan- Nigerian political pressure group, the Concerned Nigerians for Fairness and Good Governance(CNFGG) has asked the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Bola Tinubu, to immediately withdraw statements credited to him against Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State where he allegedly referred to the governor as a boy.

The group also called on the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) to call its presidential candidate to order and caution him from making inflammatory statements, name calling and insults that are unbecoming of someone who seeking presidential powers.

Tinubu had on the 30th of January taken his presidential campaign to Uyo in Akwa Ibom State where he allegedly referred to Udom as “that boy wey dey bring Atiku here, wey call himself governor”(that boy that calls himself governor and brings Atiku here).

Rising from its biannual general meeting in Abuja condemned Tinubu’s tantrums at Governor Udom Emmanuel. The group said it is surprised at the statement of the APC presidential candidate against a sitting state governor which it said is capable of igniting ethnic tensions in the country if not properly handled.

Governor Udom Emmanuel is the Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Pary’s Presidential Campaign Council, a role that CNFGG said should not be a reason for the governor to become the target of verbal attacks and subtle threats from Tinubu.
