Governor Mbah approves new N80,000 minimum wage
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has approved an increased minimum wage of N80,000 for state workers, effective immediately. The announcement was made at the Government House, following the submission of a committee report on wage concerns.
“Today, I am pleased to announce a new minimum wage for workers in Enugu State, reflecting our unwavering commitment to their welfare,” Mbah declared.
The Governor emphasized that the wage hike aligns with his administration’s vision of empowering labor as a key driver of wealth creation, noting that well-compensated workers will contribute to the state’s economic growth.
