LP crisis worsens as spokesperson accuses Abure of attempt to destabilise Nigeria

The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Abayomi Arabambi has described as untrue a statement attributed to the party’s suspended National Chairman, Julius Abure alleging  that the National Working Committee of the party led by Lamidi Apapa has filed a suit  to discontinue Peter Obi’s presidential election petition before the Court of Appeal.

Arabambi while speaking to journalists in Abeokuta,the Ogun State, said  the claim was a lie.

He said the National Working Committee of the party is in full support of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi and  and the ongoing process to reclaim the alleged stolen mandate given them by Nigerians in the recently concluded general elections.

He then gave the suspended National Chairman 48 hours to produce a copy of the document for the discontinuation of the election petition.

He accused Julius Abure of an alleged clandestine plans  to cause instability and undermine the peace of the  country starting from the 10th of May, 2023,and  called on the federal government and the security agencies, especially, the Department of State Service and the Nigeria Police Force to keep him under watch.
